
Care and Support Worker (SOC) Code 6145
Job Description
This is a full-time role working 39 contracted hours per week, on a rota basis, in the health and social care sector – (This role includes working some weekends)

- Pay Rate £10.75 per hour – (or the SOC pay rate is adjusted from time to time)
- Contracted Hours – 39 hours per week – full time positions available only
- Annual Salary £21,294.00 per annum
- Care and support workers attend to the personal needs and comforts of elderly service users in care establishments or in their own homes.
Job Description
- To provide personal care to the frail and elderly vulnerable adult group
- To assist and enable service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe.
- To support with Medication Administration
- To prepare nutritious meals and ensure service users are adequately hydrated.
- Domestic cleaning
- Laundry
- Shopping
- To provide interesting social activities that stimulate and engage the service user.
- To help with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits.
- To liaise with social services, clinicians, district nurses and other professionals.
Entry requirement of this role:
- 18 years of age and above
- Previous work experience or training with adults in their own homes, Hospitals or care settings or other similar environments.
- To have the appropriate ILETS qualifications showing proficiency in English (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking skills)
- Willing to works towards an NVQ2 qualifications in the Health and Social Care
- The role requires background checks including an Enhanced CRB check / and or Police Clearance Certificate from the country of last residence.
- You will also need to have a clear Tuberculosis (TB) test

To have the appropriate ILETS qualification showing proficiency in English (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking skills)

Willing to undertake mandatory training regularly

Willing to works towards an NVQ2 qualification in the Health and Social Care

The role requires background checks including an Enhanced CRB check/ and or Police Clearance Certificate from the country of last residence

You will also need to have a clear Tuberculosis {TB) test or any other UK pre-arrival health checks
